American Corners in Korea


Sponsored by the U.S. Embassy and participating Korean public libraries, American Corners in Korea are a joint project to provide American information, entertainment, and education resources in a broad variety of formats to the Korean people. There are three American Corners in Korea. The first opened in Busan at the Busan Metropolitan Municipal Simin Library on February 5, 2004; the second in Daegu at the Daegu Metropolitan Jungang Library on March 19, 2004; and the third in Gwangju at the Gwangju Metropolitan Mudeung Library on September 17, 2004.
